Tuesday, June 7, 2011Here are the pictures from Tuesday's breakfast and activities: class meeting, rock climbing, crossing the toxic river (blue tarp) and geo caching. I was assigned to a certain group so I couldn't get a lot of the kids during activities. No lunch pictures because my camera was charging. That made the kids happy anyway; they are tired of me bothering them! I am having trouble with the site uploading pictures so I will keep trying. I won't be here for dinner due to a meeting, but I will be back for evening program. If all goes well, there will be one more tonight.

These are pictures of afternoon recess, dinner~pizza night~that was all they cared about, and the evening Native American Program where the teacher in charge and a few kids actually made fire! They even set off the fire alarm...yikes! It was a great program. I tried hard to get a photo of everyone.

This set of photos is from the class meeting and all day adventure to Green Valley Falls and the old Boy Scouts' Camp that burned down in the Cedar Fire of 2003. On the all day adventure, I was assigned to go with a group of students so not all kids from our class are in those. First we rode the bus over to Green Valley falls where the kids played in the water. Then we returned to camp so they could change. Then we got back on the bus and went over to the Boy Scout Camp. We had lunch there and then walked to a spot where the students wrote in their journals about their special spot in nature. After that, we hiked and saw some deer and got a lot of stickers in our socks.

Finally the last set of photos for Thursday. Phew! This evening for dinner we had a picnic in the cedar grove. We teachers served the students, so once again, I only got photos of a few that came through my line. Also, Thursday night's evening program is the talent show. Dustin and Ernie were the MC's. They are really funny and the student performances were great! Enjoy! We will see you tomorrow!
