Hi! My name is Lindsay Benedetto and I will be your 5th grade teacher this year. I am a graduate of West Hills High School and San Diego State University. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies and a teaching credential in Multiple Subjects and supplemental in History. This is my 10th year of teaching, 9th here at Carlton Oaks, with experience teaching grades K, 4, 5, and 8. I am passionate about equipping students to be life-long, independent learners. I look forward to getting to know students and parents this year. I anticipate an amazing, productive, fun, and challenging fifth grade year.
I was born in San Diego, California, but have lived in Santee since I was 8. I am married to Angelo, my best friend. We just moved into our brand new home in April last year, and have loved being able to customize it to exactly what we want in our forever home! In 2013 we welcomed our first child, Sophia Sharon Benedetto, and then in 2016 we welcomed our second beautiful daughter, Aria Michele Benedetto. Each day is better than the one before. They are growing like weeds and I get to experience something new everyday. Being a mommy is one of the most challenging yet rewarding experiences of my life!
My hobbies are spending time with family and friends, reading, football, the beach, traveling and so much more. I am having so much fun seeing new places and getting to know so many new people. I am far from perfect and I have made mistakes, but I beleive that every mistake leads us to a better future, and that is what I will try and instill in your children. It is important to always believe in yourself, shoot for the stars, and do not be so hard on yourself- you deserve a pass sometimes! We are all imperfectly perfect in our own way.
